The Role of Deputy Shop Managers
Deputy shop managers are commercially aware, motivating their teams, and creating a safe and energized work environment. They have high standards, a strong drive to achieve results, and are accountable for their business.
This role is empowered, varied, and busy, offering the opportunity to work with amazing people. Shop managers are pivotal to our business success and can make a real difference.
Oxfam operates a volunteer operating model, where volunteers take over most tasks, including running the shop in the manager's absence. Our managers and deputy managers are comfortable in this environment, enjoy working with others, and are great at delegating to their teams.
