The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical equipment operation and maintenance, with experience in milling/turning/CNC or similar fields. A solid understanding of safety procedures and compliance with regulations is also essential.

We offer a competitive salary of £41,908 per annum, plus a 15% shift allowance and £6,000 location allowance. Our comprehensive benefits package includes pension scheme contributions up to 9%, medical insurance, and flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the condition of the work site, materials, and equipment.
  • Supporting health and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Preparing for and undertaking planned maintenance on the wheel lathe and ancillary equipment.
  • Carrying out wheel turning for Hitachi and third-party rolling stock.
