About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Public Sector Sales Team Manager to join our expanding sales team at Ecotricity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth in our public sector sales channel.

  • Lead a team of sales professionals in public sector sales, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure they successfully manage existing and new customer portfolios.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve channel targets and drive business growth.
  • BUILD LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS WITH PUBLIC SECTOR CLIENTS TO DRIVE ACQUISITION AND RETENTION OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain strong customer satisfaction and optimize business performance.
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales channel growth and achieve targets aligned with the overall B2B sales plan for public sector clients.
  • Lead day-to-day management of the Public Sector Sales Team, offering coaching and mentoring through regular one-on-one sessions.
  • Work with the Senior Manager to shape and develop the public sector sales strategy, driving change and supporting growth initiatives.
  • Self-generate opportunities within the large business market through networking and outbound campaigns.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify relevant framework opportunities within public sector procurement portals.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for high-value public sector clients, collaborating with Strategic Relationship Managers as needed.
  • Manage overall pipeline activity, ensuring the team meets their performance objectives.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (C grade or above) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Understanding of Public Sector Procurement.
  • Analytical ability to assess and interpret data and identify opportunities.
  • Excellent time management & personal organisational skills.
  • Strong networking & relationship building skills – both externally and internally.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
