NRL seeks an experienced Estimator to support sustainable construction projects in Golborne. This role focuses on high-pressure steel pipelines for National Grid and similar utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Management: Oversee the tendering process, ensuring accurate pricing and thorough submissions.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with teams to support project transition from tender phase to execution.
  • Client and Team Collaboration: Build strong client relationships and work with project and construction managers to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in Civils or Utilities Estimating, preferably with high-pressure steel pipelines or in the gas sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read design drawings, interpret specifications, and prepare Bills of Quantities with strong familiarity in NEC contracts.
  • Engineering Insight: Hands-on knowledge of heavy engineering, including welding high-grade steel pipes, trench-digging, and groundworks for large-diameter pipe laying.

Additional Traits and Requirements:

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Adaptable and technically skilled, able to navigate high-pressure utilities projects.
  • Office & Site Involvement: Primarily based in the office with at least 3 days on-site in Golborne; occasional site visits as required.
  • Utility Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with related sectors, such as waterworks, is advantageous, especially for those in junior roles looking to step up.
