Academic Skills Educator

At Dovetail and Slate Ltd, we are committed to delivering high-quality education and training to a diverse range of learners. We are seeking a skilled Academic Skills Educator to join our team and support students in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications up to Level 2.
The Role:
As an Academic Skills Educator, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in Functional Skills (English, Math, ICT) to learners of various levels, up to Level 3.
- Providing tailored support to ensure all learners achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential.
- Monitoring and assessing learner progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting learners with different abilities and learning needs, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates and engages learners.
Requirements:
- Teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge and experience in delivering Functional Skills (English, Math, ICT)
- Experience in teaching learners of different levels, up to Level 3
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development
