Quality Assurance Advisor Role Overview

GCU UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Advisor to join our team in the fibre network construction sector. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all fibre network build activities meet the required standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Review and approve quality control documentation, including test plans, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and performance.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality management systems and processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality standards and best practices.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role within the fibre network, telecoms, or utilities sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of fibre optic construction standards, techniques, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001) and auditing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quality Management, Telecommunications, or a related field are desirable.
  • A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
