Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator Job Description

PE Global is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator to join our team in Desford. This is a 6-month contract position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the TORQUE team to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and develop solutions to current manufacturing issues.
  • Effectively allocate resources to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, particularly MS Project, for project management and resource planning.
  • Ensure adherence to Six Sigma quality standards and implement process improvements.
  • Plan and manage labor resources efficiently to meet production demands.
  • Oversee insourcing vs. outsourcing decisions and processes to optimize production efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degrees or certifications in engineering, project management, or related fields.
  • Background in manufacturing engineering with experience in project management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the TORQUE team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
