About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team at BuildMyTalent. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions that enhance life and protect our shared future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce highway drawings packages, including materials, construction details, calculations and documents
  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, Road Safety Audit briefs, public correspondence and other written documents
  • Undertake site visits, inspections and supervision
  • Attend and lead meetings and discussions with stakeholders
  • Produce technical reports and design to encourage and increase sustainable transport use
  • Undertake consultation with regard to proposed highway projects
  • Provide support and progress updates to the Senior Engineer
  • Engage with and support Senior Engineer when working with third party stakeholders
  • Actively seek to reduce carbon through innovative designs
  • Liaise with other Engineers within the design team to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards
Requirements
  • Developed experience and expertise within Highways/Civil engineering field, probably gained in an Assistant Engineer role or equivalent
  • Ability to produce or oversee the production of technically sound Highways engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements
  • Experience in undertaking project related tasks associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
  • Successful completion of the initial professional development leading to either Incorporated or Chartered status or an equivalent professional license
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in an appropriate subject or demonstrable equivalent further learning
  • EngTech status is desirable, gained through the professional institution to which you are aligned
