About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Mathematics Educator to join our team at a reputable secondary school in the Plymouth region. As a Maths Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging maths lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver maths lessons that inspire curiosity and practical skills in students.
  • Student Progress Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their academic potential.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design and development of an innovative maths curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Lead and participate in maths-related extracurricular activities, competitions, and clubs.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed., or BA Hons.
  • Experience: Have at least 6 months of school-based experience working in a UK secondary school setting.
  • References: Provide two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
  • DBS: Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
