Collection Development Coordinator

At Monash University, we are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the delivery of a sustainable collection acquisitions service.
The successful candidate will provide specialist advice and services to deliver an active user-driven collection, working closely with internal partners to ensure alignment with our research and education priorities.
This pivotal role requires highly developed planning and organisational skills to initiate, plan, and deliver projects that optimise content and collection acquisition via streamlined workflows and innovative acquisition models.
The Collection Acquisitions and Activation Coordinator will support our Content and Collections Manager in delivering our program of activities and providing specialist advice that contributes to our objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of a sustainable collection acquisitions service
- Provide specialist professional services to deliver an active user-driven collection
- Work closely with internal partners to ensure alignment with our research and education priorities
- Initiate, plan, and deliver projects that optimise content and collection acquisition
- Support the Content and Collections Manager in delivering our program of activities
Requirements:
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills
- Experience in collection management and acquisitions
- Strong communication and liaison skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Estimated Salary: $94,275 per annum (Full-Time), plus 17% employer superannuation.
Location: Melbourne, Australia (Part-time or full-time positions available).
Employment Type: Full-Time.
