About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Nurse to join our Cancer Research Team at Musgrove Park Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the management and coordination of research projects involving patients, families, and carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and coordination of research projects, ensuring compliance with UK legal requirements, Trust policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Recruit patients and their families to research studies and clinical trials, providing thorough support and guidance throughout the research process.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, deliver, monitor, and record the care and progress of patients involved in research studies and clinical trials.
  • Ensure that all elements of clinical trial work are carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements, protecting the rights, safety, and well-being of patients.
Requirements
  • Registered Healthcare Professional with excellent communication skills and a team work approach.
  • Demonstrable, recent healthcare professional experience in general/Medicine/Surgery/Oncology, with recent or current extensive experience of caring for patients in an acute setting.
  • Previous experience of data collection and a good standard of literacy and English language skills.
