We're seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the efficient and timely delivery of operational requirements for a designated area of the network.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding promptly to incidents and emergency works on the network as directed by National Highways
  • Conducting daily checks of labour plant and materials, ensuring efficient utilisation
  • Collaborating with team members to promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example and ensuring awareness of Health and Safety compliance
  • Assisting with the deployment of other resources to incident scenes as required
  • Supporting the delivery of Severe weather operations

Requirements include:

  • A fully valid driving license, essential for driving company vehicles to site
  • Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Capability to work under pressure within a safety-critical role
