About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Red 5 People as a Career Transition Specialist. You will be working with clients who have recently come out of hospital and are in the early stages of recovery from mental health challenges.

You will work alongside a clinical team to provide employment support, helping clients to develop their skills and confidence in preparation for returning to work.

The role involves a mix of office and community-based work, including one-to-one sessions with clients, employer engagement, and outreach to local businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working with a caseload of around 20 job seekers to help them prepare for employment
  • Providing employment support, including CV development, job searching, and interview preparation
  • Engaging with local employers to discuss opportunities and ensure they understand the needs of our clients
  • Meeting regularly with employers to progress applications and placements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in employment support, careers advice, or recruitment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of mental health issues and the impact on employment
