We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Broker to join our National Intermediary Services (NIS) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the placement of commercial and mid-corporate new business and renewals, ranging from casualty, property, and additional lines of business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the placement of commercial and mid-corporate new business and renewals, ensuring high-quality outcomes for NFU Mutual customers.
- Liaise with insurance partners to obtain and negotiate appropriate terms, ensuring they meet our agreed criteria.
- Attend meetings with our office network to work on new business pipelines and discuss upcoming renewals and cross-selling opportunities.
- Support our Agents in the field, accompanying them on client visits to provide information on the best placement of their insurances.
- Identify opportunities for product and pricing enhancements, negotiate and deliver agreed improvements to ensure NIS delivers the best products and maintains a competitive advantage.
- Dip CII qualified or equivalent experience in a market-facing trading role.
- Strong knowledge of the general commercial insurance market, with technical expertise in commercial lines.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to lead and drive performance through others.
- Analytical mind with the ability to problem-solve on technical cases.
- Up to £65k dependant upon experience.
- Annual bonus (up to 17.5% of salary).
