As a PSV Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of commercially operated buses and coaches. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, ensuring that our vehicles meet the stringent standards set by both Arriva and the DVSA.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Conducting thorough servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
- Continuously striving to enhance vehicle reliability and performance.
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections, executing planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and conducting quality checks.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults effectively and ensuring that all maintenance adheres to Arriva's high standards (exceeding DVSA requirements).
- Responding promptly to roadside breakdowns and providing on-site repairs.
- Possess qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair, including a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent international qualification (confirmation required).
- Hold a full UK driving licence with six points or less.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment PCV medical examination.
We offer a competitive salary of £21.03 per hour, with overtime rates at 1.5x for Monday to Saturday and 2x (£42.06 per hour) on Sundays. This is a full-time, permanent contract with a 38-hour workweek, involving rotating shifts.
