Orbital Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled Pipe Welder Technician to join our client based in the Ilkeston area.

Morning and afternoon shifts are available, with immediate interview and start possibilities. The ideal candidate will have access to their own transport and be flexible with scheduling.

The successful applicant will be responsible for welding flanges on large utility pipes, primarily in the Water and Waste sectors. This will involve utilizing automatic welding machines for standard tasks and manual welding for defect repair.

To succeed in this role, you will need basic experience with MIG welding and the ability to learn new skills as required. Our client offers competitive pay rates of £13.19 per hour for day shifts and £15.07 per hour for afternoons.

Overtime rates are 1.5 times the standard rate for weekdays and Saturdays, and double time for Sundays. The contract is 12 weeks temporary to permanent, with regular working hours from 7am to 3:30pm for days and 3pm to 11pm for afternoons.
