About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join our team and lead our Flight Test Programme at an aircraft level. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of liquid hydrogen based electrical fuel cell propulsion systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical delivery, integration of technologies, and development of new solutions at aircraft level. They will also provide technical leadership, manage engineering resources, and support functional heads in the PDP Process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as technical authority for the flight test programme at an aircraft level
  2. Lead the integration of technologies and development of new technology at aircraft level
  3. Technical Leadership functionally and product wise in accordance with the lifecycle management process (Engineering Design Reviews)
  4. Ability to perform any delegated tasking from the Office of Airworthiness
  5. Technical risk management at programme level
  6. Project Engineering Plan (PEP) and Engineering Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) derivation and management
  7. Provide day-to-day technical direction and leadership to the Engineering and Technology Team
  8. Management of engineering resources required
  9. Support of the functional heads in the PDP Process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
  • Aircraft level integration knowledge and expertise
  • Technical experience of hydrogen based propulsion electrical propulsion systems
  • Strong business and commercial awareness

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum
  • £5,500 car allowance per annum
