About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to fill this senior role at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital. As a DNU - Senior Ward RGN, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our hospital and delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and mentor junior nurses to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality patient care
  2. Take charge of scheduling and rosters, ensuring that the ward runs smoothly and efficiently
  3. Contribute to recruitment and induction processes, helping to identify and develop new talent
  4. Develop and implement effective performance management systems, recognising and rewarding outstanding performance
  5. Plan and deliver training programmes, equipping staff with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience as a nurse in a similar environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, making decisions that promote excellence in patient care
