About the Role

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking a Support Practitioner to join our dedicated staff team. As a Support Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to support a young woman to fulfill her potential in her home in Blairgowrie.

No previous experience in care is required, as we provide full in-house training to all new staff members. You will need to be active, as the individual enjoys long walks, dancing, music, trampolining, and swimming, as well as indoor activities such as arts and crafts and doing jigsaws.

At times, you may need to manage challenging behavior, but despite this, there is lots of fun and interaction. This is a chance to develop your own skills and be part of a lively, warm, and talented young woman's life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Support: Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various leisure activities such as day centers, cinema, swimming, etc.
  • Medical Support: Administering and monitoring medication.
  • Personal Care: Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care, which would include assistance with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, incontinence care.
  • Practical Support: Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
