Job Summary:
The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly skilled Medical Director to join its team at Student Health Services. As a key member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide primary health care services to students, including medical consultation and supervision of mid-level providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary health care services to students, including medical consultation and supervision of mid-level providers.
- Cover for Medical Director in their absence, including supervision of clinical supervisor and laboratory supervisor.
- Develop and implement healthcare programs and services to meet the needs of students.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited medical school with successful completion of primary care residency program.
- Licensed to practice or eligible for licensure as a physician in the state of Virginia.
- Board certified in a primary care specialty.
- Current DEA license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current basic life support CPR certification.
- Experience in a college health setting, experience with sports medicine and women's health.
