Job Title: Regional Aviation Safety Director

CAE is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Aviation Safety Director to join our team in EMEA. As a key member of our safety management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety standards are maintained across our operations in the region.

About the Role

The Regional Aviation Safety Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing safety management systems to minimize corporate risk and ensure centralized data sharing channels are established.
  • Establishing and managing the Safety Management System within the assigned region and mentoring Centre Safety Managers to ensure enhanced levels of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as the proactive focal point for safety communication, promotion of initiatives, and demonstrating Just Culture in the workplace and with CAE's partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fully conversant with ICAO SARP's, ICAO Annex 19 SMS, and all associated safety management documentation.
  • Previous experience establishing or coordinating a fully functioning ICAO compliant Safety Management System within an operational aviation organisation.
  • Holds or has held: (For pilots) an EASA recognized Flight Crew Licence to CPL or ATPL level or Instructor Certificate/Rating and (Safety Professionals) a comprehensive aviation safety background with NAA Post Holder with Safety Director/VP level experience.
  • Qualified Safety Auditor. (EASA/IATA Audit experience preferable)
  • Thorough knowledge of EASA and other NAA regulations within EMEA for Safety, Quality Assurance, Training and Operations as well as their impact on CAE's Commercial customers and their operating requirements.
  • Ability to analyse complex Safety, Technical and Operational data where active trend monitoring indicates areas of safety focus.
