About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a senior risk and assurance manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the risk and assurance functions within our commercial and municipal business areas, ensuring that strategies are developed and implemented to tackle key problem areas and review trends to develop solutions using an insights-led approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the quality, health and safety, environment, security, risk and insurance functions, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership teams to provide performance analysis, assurance and solutions to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Embed a positive and proactive safety culture within operational business areas, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver results in a demanding environment.
  • Credibility as a trusted leader, with the ability to negotiate and influence at senior levels of the business.
  • Evidence of designing, creating, implementing and measuring short, medium and long-term strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
