Occupational Therapist Opportunity at Nottinghamshire County Council

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Nottinghamshire County Council. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with adults of all ages, assessing their needs and providing expert advice on home modifications, equipment, and accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of service users' and carers' needs in relation to their home environment.
  • Undertake face-to-face reviews and assessments to determine the most effective solutions for reablement, accommodation, equipment, and minor adaptations.
  • Provide expert advice on equipment and home modifications, recommending suitable adaptations to improve independence.
  • Maintain awareness of safeguarding vulnerable individuals and uphold dignity and respect when interacting with people.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
  • Previous experience with major adaptations.
  • Manual handling expertise.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (we can assist with this process).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity with a possibility to work from home, offering a fair and manageable caseload. You will have the chance to further develop your skills through additional training provided by the council. The initial contract duration is 3-6 months, with potential for extension.
