About the Job

The City of Birmingham is seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing web-based systems and applications to meet the needs of our citizens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and monitor system applications, programs, and databases to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design, develop, and modify system applications, programs, and databases to meet specific user needs.
  • Create, update, or modify system documentation and user guides to ensure users have the necessary information to use the applications effectively.
  • Analyze user needs to define the scope and context of the application development process.
  • Serve as a project manager on various system or application designs, implementations, updates, and/or integrations.
  • Conduct training to provide knowledge and understanding of work processes to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
Requirements
  • Experience developing and designing web, desktop or mobile application solutions that fully meet business needs and requirements.
  • Experience developing and designing databases in Microsoft SQL Server or other related database management system.
  • Experience programming in.Net environment, ASP.NET, C#, or other object oriented language.
Benefits
  • Salary range: $74,152 - $115,024 (starting salary is commensurate with education and experience)
