Job Overview

A leading contractor is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a prestigious £150m Crossrail Depot project in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to grow within a top 5 largest contractor globally, with a solid history of Groundworks and Building experience, as well as a good understanding of the NEC form of contract.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reporting, measuring and valuing works, cost control and budget management, record keeping, forecasting costs to completion, applications, cash flow, change management and claims, subcontract procurement, maximising income, client and supply chain relationships, conflict avoidance, dispute management and resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress and financial performance
  • Measure and value works in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Manage and control project costs and budgets to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and files related to project activities
  • Forecast costs to completion and identify areas for improvement
  • Process and manage applications, payments and other financial transactions
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure timely payment to suppliers and contractors
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage changes and resolve disputes
  • Procure and manage subcontractors to ensure high-quality services
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners to drive business growth
  • Identify and mitigate potential conflicts and disputes through effective communication and negotiation
Requirements
  • Main Contractor Experience
  • Groundworks/Building Experience
  • Solid understanding of NEC form of Contract
  • Degree Qualified (Preferred not essential)
  • Rail experience (Preferred not essential)
What We Offer
