Engineering Manager Role:

This position, reporting directly to the board of directors, involves overseeing engineering projects focused on implementing new plant installations, enhancing automation, and ensuring the completion of all maintenance tasks. The role of Engineering Manager requires leadership of an engineering team, with responsibilities including managing internal workloads and coordinating with external contractors. Additionally, the individual will be tasked with generating feasible project plans, overseeing purchasing to meet these plans, and keeping all relevant departments informed of engineering project developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Plant and Machinery Installation: Oversee the installation of plant and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Contractor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage contractors for engineering projects
  • Engineering Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing engineering project team

Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline would be advantageous
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, particularly in plant and machinery installation
  • Skills: Demonstrated success in contractor management and team leadership, familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards
