Are you a graduate looking to explore a teaching career in a school setting? Our Graduates into Teaching Pathway offers a unique opportunity to gain paid experience as a Teaching Assistant in schools. You'll work with partner schools in Sunderland and the surrounding areas, receiving training before and during your role.

What to Expect

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant on our program, you'll support pupils in groups and one-on-one. Posts vary from short-term to long-term in our partner Secondary schools, SEN schools, and Primary schools. You'll be mentored and coached by our team to grow your skillset as you train.

Requirements
  • You'll hold a degree in any subject
  • Hold or predict a degree with a 2.2 or above
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum 4 or C)
Person Specification
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible and responsive in a dynamic work environment
  • Organised and efficient
  • Enjoy working with young people and want to work in a Secondary school
Additional Requirements
  • Provide two referees we can contact
  • Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
