Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Crane Equipment Technician to join our team at GAP Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes and working at height equipment.

This role will involve proof load testing of equipment such as runway beams, davit sockets, swing jibs, and lift shaft eyes, as well as basic installations and report preparation. The successful candidate will also be required to carry out site surveys and provide advice on the correct selection and use of lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test overhead cranes and working at height equipment
  • Repair and maintain equipment as necessary
  • Proof load testing of equipment

Requirements

  • Experience in crane maintenance and repair
  • Competence in LOLER/PUWER inspections
  • LEEA qualifications highly desirable
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Focused on customer satisfaction and attention to detail
  • Valid driving license essential
