Gi Group is proud to be working in partnership with a leading European full-service supplier of flexible plastic and laminate packaging.

Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, although this is not essential. The company has a blue-chip customer base in consumer and industrial markets, including international brands and household names.

The site features modern blown film extrusion technology and flexographic printers (up to 10 colours). As a Maintenance Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance work
  • Performing mechanical repairs as required
  • Liaising with Production teams
  • Repairing and troubleshooting process, facility equipment, and systems
  • Following up to ensure all Preventative Maintenance and work orders have been completed
  • Communicating with relevant departments on any maintenance and related issues
  • Supporting production requirements with maintenance and improvements

Desirable Experience:

  • Reactive and preventative maintenance – mechanical bias
  • Manufacturing or FMCG background
  • Plastic manufacturing – ideally
