Senior Paraplanner Job Description

At Blakemore Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our team. As a Senior Paraplanner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality financial planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planner Support: Provide support to financial planners in completing non-client facing tasks, including the preparation and administration of recommendations.
  • Client Needs Review: Work closely with financial planners to review client information, gain a deep understanding of client profiles, needs, and objectives.
  • Research and Documentation: Conduct relevant research, gather supporting documentation, and prepare application paperwork for advice.
  • Financial Planning: Collaborate with financial planners to construct high-quality financial plans for clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure client files contain all required documentation to demonstrate compliance and suitability of advice.
  • Cashflow Modelling: Prepare lifetime cashflow modelling to develop clients' holistic financial plans.
  • Client Queries: Handle client queries as required.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with financial planners and other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Organisational Skills: Good organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Good attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in navigating and utilising financial planning software and tools, with the ability to report on common platform providers.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Qualifications: Qualified to level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, with a good understanding of UK financial regulations and compliance requirements.
