Position Overview:

An innovative opportunity for a customer-centric full stack engineer who thrives on developing web and mobile app experiences. The successful candidate will join Dabster, a leading name in the food and beverage market with + stores across the world. As a full stack engineer specializing in JavaScript, you will drive technical excellence and innovation within the product team for both the web & mobile apps. You will lead by example, playing a hands-on role in designing, building, and maintaining front-end and back-end systems. Additionally, you will impart your knowledge and coach others fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  1. + years' experience in software development.
  2. Architect and develop scalable and performant mission critical web applications using JavaScript and API development frameworks.
  3. Lead the mobile development on iOS and Android.
  4. Mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
  5. Drive a culture of quality and innovation, advocating Extreme Programming ways of working.
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in Agile processes and code reviews.
  7. Utilise strong debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both front-end and back-end systems (including both internal and third-party systems).
  8. Experience working on cloud platforms, with knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) being an advantage.
  9. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and solutions is highly desirable.
  10. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the product roadmap and development processes.
  11. Champion continuous improvement, performance optimisation, and security throughout the development lifecycle.
Skills:
  1. Proven experience as a hands-on engineer with proficiency in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and API development frameworks.
  2. Proven experience as a hands-on engineer with proficiency in React Native or iOS or Android for mobile app development.
  3. Hands on experience in Native Android and iOS development using Kotlin/Swift would be a plus.
  4. Experience in technical decision making guiding the team to propose solutions which implement standard mythologies so that a maintainable product is produced.
  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor other engineers.
  6. Experience working in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Retail, or E-commerce industries is a plus.
  7. Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  8. You have a passion for automation tested code and setting high standards for code quality.
  9. Be a keen team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change through innovation and collaboration.
