We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing medical leadership and expertise to our clients in the field of mental health.
About the Role
- Develop and review medical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Participate in making arrangements for medical officer coverage to ensure 24-hour operation
- Operate within agreed standards, targets, and timetables to achieve operational and strategic objectives
- Administer the Mental Health Act and associated administrative tasks
- Exercise professional leadership and manage a medical service to ensure high-quality clinical practice
- Collaborate with General Practitioners to provide medical services to patients
Requirements
- Essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health
- Substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contemporary issues in mental health
- Experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
