Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse Role

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Leaders in Care. As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you will deliver vital oncology treatments to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering IV and oral chemotherapy treatments
  • Conducting blood tests and toxicity assessments
  • Managing pump disconnections and line care
  • Performing IM/SC injections
  • Collaborating with a wider nursing team while working independently
  • Staying updated with new technologies and therapies
Package and Benefits:

This role offers a comprehensive package, including:

  • Competitive hourly rates of circa £43-£48ph
  • 45p per mile petrol expenses
  • Monday to Friday hours
  • Guaranteed work of 6 months, potentially longer
  • Visiting no more than 4 patients per day
  • Full and comprehensive induction, including 2-3 weeks shadow shifts
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An active NMC Pin as a Registered RGN Nurse
  • Essential experience in Oncology, Haematology, or Chemotherapy
  • Skills in cannulation and venepuncture
  • A valid driving licence
  • A SACT Passport or equivalent qualification
