Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Risk Manager to join our team at Reed. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks across our operations in Northern Ireland, Donegal, and Monaghan.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Collaborate with site teams to provide training and guidance on health and safety procedures.
  4. Investigate accidents and near misses, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Prepare and submit regular health and safety reports, tracking key statistics and metrics.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NI and ROI health and safety regulations, ensuring our company remains compliant.

Requirements:

  • At least two years' experience in a Health and Safety Officer/Advisor role (considering flexible candidates).
  • A third-level qualification in a related field and a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent, or five years' experience as a Health & Safety Officer/Advisor (flexible on this for the contract position).
  • Demonstrated expertise in hazard identification, risk management, and health and safety investigations.
  • Familiarity with both NI and ROI health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driving license and access to own transport.
