Orilion Ltd is a dynamic and efficient team seeking an additional qualified Solicitor to assist with police station accreditation or court experience.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Solicitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in police station accreditation or court work. This is a fee-earning role reporting into the Partners, who are very supportive of career growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering court attendances in West London, Thames Valley, and South Oxon, managing case files in accordance with Quality Assurance Standards, and providing advice and assistance to clients at police stations, by telephone, and/or in person.

Responsibilities:

  • Covering court attendances in West London, Thames Valley, and South Oxon
  • Managing case files in accordance with Quality Assurance Standards
  • Providing advice and assistance to clients at police stations, by telephone, and/or in person
  • Attending upon clients at Court, the office, in custody, or elsewhere to obtain their instructions and provide them with advice and assistance
  • Communicating with clients and other parties by email, letter, telephone, and in person
  • Participating in Duty Solicitor Schemes and providing advice and assistance in accordance with the Duty Solicitor arrangements
  • Preparing for hearings, pleas, and trials, and ensuring that all listings are dealt with promptly and accurately

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or recognised diploma in Law
  • Pass or above of the Legal Practice Course or Law Society Finals
  • Valid current Law Society Practising Certificate
  • Eligibility or membership of local Court and Police Station Duty Solicitors Schemes
  • Excellent advocacy, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work to set deadlines and decide on priorities
  • File management skills
  • Financial management
