We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Manager to join our team at Huntress Search Ltd. As a key member of our specialist team, you will be responsible for developing and launching new products that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management from concept development to first production of new products to meet client briefs and associated project plans.
- Collaboration with culinary specialists, sales, and technical departments to ensure successful product launches.
- Development and presentation of innovative product and packaging concepts that meet client requirements and company objectives.
- Leading the transition of new products from approved concept to full production, ensuring quality attributes are maintained throughout the development and manufacturing processes.
- Planning, managing, and supporting factory trials at manufacturers to ensure efficient production processes and mitigate risks to launches.
- Working with manufacturers to establish relevant controls and quality control procedures to ensure quality attributes are maintained.
- Input to the supplier approval process and managing the introduction of new manufacturers.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with supplier partners to improve product development processes.
Requirements:
- Food science degree or equivalent, with experience in food manufacturing environments.
- Experience in playing a leading role in a product development team.
- Understanding of outsourced environments and contract manufacturing.
- Project management experience and success in meeting operational and financial targets.
