We are seeking a skilled CNC Applications Engineer to join our team at Precision People.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer with a strong background in CNC mill-turn machines and 5-axis machinery to take their career to the next level. As a CNC Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in helping customers maximize the productivity and efficiency of their CNC mill-turn machines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Engagement: Serve as a liaison between our UK subsidiary and international customer base, providing technical support and guidance to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  2. Technical Solution Development: Design machining processes and tool selection based on customer needs, developing accurate tooling lists and ensuring optimal machine configuration.
  3. Sales and Market Support: Provide technical support to sales teams, including pre-sales consultations, to drive sales growth and expand our market presence.
  4. Implementation and Training: Manage and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), delivering customer training and ensuring effective technology transfer.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as an Applications Engineer with CNC mill-turn machines or 5-axis machinery.
  2. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, or Fusion 360.
  3. Turnkey management experience, with the ability to manage multiple clients or projects simultaneously.
  4. Familiarity with machining processes, particularly in multi-axis mill-turn environments.
  5. HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (desirable).
  6. Ability to travel to customer sites as required (both nationally and internationally).
  7. Strong communication skills, with experience in customer training and support.
