About Our Team

We are a dynamic and compassionate team within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, dedicated to providing high-quality, recovery-focused care to adults with a range of mental health needs. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional services, and we are seeking a skilled Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our Acute and Crisis Psychology Service.

As a Clinical Associate Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing the professional psychological care of clients within our service. You will provide psychological assessment and interventions, working semi-autonomously under the supervision of a more senior psychologist. A key aspect of this role will be supporting the development and implementation of our group program, which aims to promote recovery and well-being for our service users.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment and interventions to clients within our service
  • Support the development and implementation of our group program
  • Contribute to the screening and prioritization of referrals
  • Work independently according to an agreed plan and within the overall framework of our team's policies and procedures
Person Specification
  • First degree in Psychology
  • Registered with the BPS as a Clinical Associate Psychologist
  • Understanding of British Psychological Society (BPS) Professional Code of Conduct, local and national policies and procedures that define scope of practice
  • Understanding of the range of behavioral change models, including health belief models, to synthesize best practice in the absence of a strong evidence base or existence of clinical practice guidelines

We offer a competitive salary of £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, based on full-time hours.
