Job Title: Painter and Decorator

This is a temporary Painter and Decorator role with a well-known Build to Rent company based in Wembley.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure work is completed according to requirements.
  • Measure work areas to calculate time and materials required.
  • Prepare surrounding areas, including covering fixtures and furniture.
  • Prepare painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, and washing walls.
  • Choose tools to complete the job.
  • Mix and match paints and colours to meet texture and look requirements.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes, hang wallpapers, and other decorative products.
  • Clean up painting tools and supplies, replace fixtures, and rearrange furniture after completing the project.
  • Collaborate with painters on larger jobs.
  • Work with construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, when necessary.
Requirements:
  • A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a maintenance team.
  • An honest and reliable character, who can approach work with a sense of purpose and pace.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
