Senior Project Manager - Electrical Engineering and Transmission

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our Transmission and Distribution team, you will be responsible for leading and managing multi-disciplinary projects and pursuits, including transmission projects and packages.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in EHV, HV and LV electrical engineering from conceptual to detailed design in utilities, renewable power, traction power, water/wastewater and other industries. You will also have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a team of high-performing project specialists across a range of multi-disciplinary projects and pursuits.
  • Developing and executing project plans, including scope, time, and cost.
  • Fostering and evolving client relationships through successful project delivery.
  • Mentoring, supervising, and coordinating junior to mid-level project managers.
  • Participating in the pursuit, development, and delivery of present and future transmission projects.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective networks and relevant industry relationships to meet business and client outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified electrical engineer with significant experience in transmission, utilities, renewable power, or similar fields.
  • Strong network and business development acumen.
  • Experience in the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, whether that is from a consulting, utilities, or contracting environment.
  • Experience in EHV, HV, and LV electrical engineering from conceptual to detailed design in utilities, renewable power, traction power, water/wastewater, and other industries.
  • Experience in testing, commissioning, FAT witnessing, equipment failure investigation.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, ability to provide robust advice and support design projects through clear communication of project status, issues, and risks.
