Job Title: Strategic Sustainability Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sustainability Director to join our team at Leather Working Group. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and driving our mission to create a transparent and sustainable leather value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a training strategy for leather manufacturers and supply chain actors to promote best practices and support the preparation for LWG audits.
- Oversee the management and development of the LWG Sustainability Standards, working closely with industry subject matter experts.
- Support program and project management teams in the development and maintenance of the LWG Sustainability standards.
- Line manage the Standards team and provide technical support and training.

Requirements:

- Proven experience within the leather or leather product, fashion and textiles, or agricultural supply chains.
- Strong program and project management experience, with the ability to influence others and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, both in the UK and overseas.
