About the Role

This role will involve the following:

  • Training and assessment of learners to identify skill and knowledge gaps
  • Developing and delivering individual training plans tailored to learner needs
  • Maintaining records relevant to individual learners
  • Accessing and working with BKSB software and analytics as applicable
  • Delivering high-quality training to exceed awarding body quality standards for functional skills
  • Working closely with the Exams Officer to ensure learners are prepared to sit exams as swiftly as possible
  • Delivering training using approved training resources for groups or individuals
  • Ensuring all learners attend sessions as per the minimum requirements and missed sessions are recovered
  • Supporting Tutors to ensure they take full responsibility for their learners and set, monitor, and record progress
  • Coordinating and supporting learner progress and providing support in completion of exams
  • Detailing, monitoring, recording, and reporting of learner progress to Exams Officer and Apprenticeship Tutors
  • Supplying information to employees and employers to support apprenticeship programmes
  • Providing appropriate data and information regarding the programmes and learners as required
  • Attending CPD and Standardisation events as appropriate
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all relevant documentation to progress the recording of new learners on the programme
  • Ensure Outlook calendar is up to date at all times
  • Maintain documentation that records the progress of learners on programme against specified targets
  • Ensure Team's Classroom calendar is up to date with the next term's sessions available
  • Complete documentation in relation to visits to employers and relationships with learners and employers
  • Ensure timely achievement of all learners on programme and moving learners to the next level if required
About You

We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Hold a qualification or have experience in delivering high-quality functional skills training at Level 1 and 2 remotely and face-to-face
  • Hold Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications
  • Have experience of working with employers in a training or customer relations role
  • Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers and learners
  • Have strong IT skills and be willing to work with e-portfolios
  • Can motivate learners and ensure they complete on time
  • Hold a full driving licence, have own vehicle, and be willing to travel to customer sites
  • Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative
  • Robust internet connection at place of work
