Senior Design Estimator

Careers In Design (Recruitment) Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Estimator to join their team. As a Senior Design Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective research and selection of best practice processes, materials, and suppliers for manufacturing company designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research to identify and quantify cost factors, including production time, raw materials, equipment, and labor expenses, to prepare and submit RRP quotations for the Sales Team.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers by researching their capabilities, visiting their facilities, and gathering information on materials and outsourcing opportunities.
  • Utilize the internal ERP system to calculate estimates and ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze technical documents, including off-plan and CAD drawings, to prepare estimates and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Provide recommendations to improve product profitability while maintaining or enhancing quality and client expectations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in design estimation, with a strong understanding of production processes and materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
