Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Telecoms Security Specialist to join our team at Ofcom. This is a full-time position based in London, with an estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and supporting the rollout of a network security regime for communication providers. You will work closely with other members of the Network Security team to develop and implement guidance on network topology, security, operations, and processes.

You will provide technical insights and support the delivery of a new telecoms security framework for Communications Providers. You will also work with industry stakeholders, Government, and other relevant agencies to ensure policy goals are aligned and effectively coordinated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and support the rollout of a network security regime for communication providers
  • Develop and implement guidance on network topology, security, operations, and processes
  • Provide technical insights and support the delivery of a new telecoms security framework for Communications Providers
  • Work with industry stakeholders, Government, and other relevant agencies to ensure policy goals are aligned and effectively coordinated

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering)
  • Experience in telecoms security, risk management, and/or project management
  • Strong understanding of network topology, security, operations, and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
