Tutor required to work with looked after children across South Yorkshire, providing personalized tutoring and social support to help them achieve their educational goals.
About the Role:
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, as well as other subjects as required.
- Work closely with social workers, carers, and educational professionals to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies.
- Prepare students for exams and help them develop study skills and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS), PTTLS, or relevant tutoring experience in a similar role with at least a B.Ed, MA or PhD.
- Experience working with LAC or vulnerable young people is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Salary and Benefits:
- Estimated salary: £25-£30 per hour, depending on experience.
