About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mergers and Acquisitions Executive to join our Energy Sector team at Alan Mitchell. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in executing financial advisory services to assist our clients in achieving their strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support engagement teams in equity financing, sell-side, buy-side, and general advisory M&A engagements within the Energy sector team.
  • Oversee due diligence and lead the preparation of offering documentation and materials.
  • Assist in the execution of public equity financing transactions and work with senior investment bankers in transactions' execution.
  • Review valuation models, including project finance, discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables, and transaction comparables.
  • Review presentation materials for use in client meetings, covering topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity, and general corporate finance.
  • Participate in all stages of transaction executions, from the pitch phase through to closing.
Requirements
  • ACA qualification is essential.
  • At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in Lead Advisory/M&A in an Energy or related team, at a Big 4 firm or investment bank.
  • Sector knowledge of Energy (oil & gas or Renewables) or related areas is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques.
  • Good financial modeling (DCF, merger models) is preferred.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Ideal candidates will have the ability to adapt, manage projects independently, and assume a high level of responsibility as a productive member of the team.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and function within a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of financial data sources (Capital IQ and Bloomberg).
