We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Support Specialist to join our team at HMP New Hall. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in promoting the education provision on offer and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with learners on a day-to-day basis to promote the education provision and conduct initial assessments in English, Maths, and learning difficulties/disabilities.
- Ensure that prospective and existing learners receive relevant and easily understood information regarding learning and skills provision and continuing support.
- Contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach that seeks to facilitate a smooth transition to the resettlement of the learner into the community.
- Relevant experience of conducting initial assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups.
- Experience of working with groups of learners with a range of abilities.
- Experience of successful working in an effective multi-disciplinary team.
- To hold or be willing to work towards level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy within an agreed timescale.
- Extensive annual leave which can be taken throughout the year and not restricted to school holiday times.
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
