Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Washington. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching staff and students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons and providing individualized support to students.
  • Assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons, ensuring a engaging and interactive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who need additional help, helping them to build confidence and achieve academic success.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Assist with marking and providing feedback on students' work, helping them to identify areas for improvement and develop their skills.
  • Contribute to the development of students' academic and social skills, helping them to become confident and independent learners.
Requirements:
  • A recent graduate with a degree in a relevant subject, passionate about education and supporting young people.
  • Strong communication and interactive skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced educational setting, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
