Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Trade Counter Assistant and Driver. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, and ensuring the smooth operation of our trade counter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by confidently communicating product knowledge to customers and promoting our products.
- Pick, load, and deliver products to customers via our 3.5-tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
- Support the Branch Manager in day-to-day branch operations, including stock management, warehouse maintenance, and front-of-house cleanliness.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve branch sales targets, operational standards, and customer satisfaction goals.
Requirements:
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving business targets.
- Hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commercial acumen, with experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Valid driving license and ability to operate a 3.5-tonne flatbed truck and LWB van.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a trade/builders merchant/retail, glazing, or uPVC environment.
