Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist Opportunity

Equals One Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Posture and Mobility Services team in the Greater Manchester area.

About the Role
  • We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills who is keen to balance their experience of working in a customer-focused service with a clinical caseload.

The successful candidate will use their clinical skills to assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs, and to prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories. They will also provide leadership for the local clinical team and manage referrals and team caseload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs
  • Prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories
  • Provide leadership for the local clinical team and manage referrals and team caseload
  • Supervise junior staff and provide clinical guidance to other non-clinical colleagues in the service
  • Liaise with service user groups and other stakeholders, including local voluntary and statutory services, to facilitate joint working where appropriate and identify opportunities for improving service user outcomes
Requirements
  • You must be registered with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills combined with the ability to manage a varied workload are essential
  • You will be confident in the use of digital systems and software for record-keeping and for analysis of service performance

  • A competitive salary of £46,148 - £52,809 per annum, dependent on experience
